  • I mean - If you're in the US and try to pay in CAD you would get kicked out as it's not a legal form of payment in the US. I'd imagine it would be the same over there unless specifically mentioned at the entrance.
  • I am astounded to learn that a Canadian store would take American currency. Is that normal up there?
  • Yes it’s true for all across Canada and it’s about time we stop lol. You can’t go into any other country and pay with your currency, so why does America think they can. My store it won’t be too much of an issue as we really only get American cash during hunting season, but even then they mostly pay with Canadian or cc. I can see more issues with stores on the boarder though

  • Write everything down. The division of tasks, the amount of work actually being done, her attitude, how it's affecting you, all of it. Take it to your PL, make it a formal complaint of sorts. That's what I had to do to get taken seriously and see something done.
  • Welcome to adulting. You are always going to have someone who doesn’t pull their weight. Someone who doesn’t like you for no apparent reason. Someone who floats through life having no regard for others. Talk to your TL and ask for some kind of breakdown of duties to be given to her. Have them put it in writing for her if they can. If you are the team lead (or even if you aren’t) walk in and do this- it usually worked for me and shows you are a team player: Look around while standing next to her and put your hands on your hips and say something like “man, look at all WE have to get done. I’ll grab XY or Z if you will take AB or C.” Make XY or Z be something slightly more taxing than the other task. If you see her slacking say “hey, I’m going to finish X, if you will start Y , I’m going to start A as soon as I’m finished “
